About Leading Reflective Practice

This course introduces participants to reflective practice as a powerful capability for coaches, leaders and mentors who want to deepen their impact, sharpen their professional judgement and intentionally support the growth of others.

In-line with our “research-informed – practitioner-focused” approach, the course blends theory, live experience and practical tools that can be applied immediately - particularly for those establishing or leading reflective practice groups.

Why Reflective Practice Matters

Reflective practice is more than reviewing what went well or what didn’t. It is a disciplined approach to learning from experience. It is about noticing patterns, questioning assumptions and translating insight into purposeful action.

When reflective practice is embedded in coaching, mentoring and leadership work, it supports:

  • deeper self-awareness and professional judgement
  • ethical and intentional decision-making
  • continuous improvement in practice
  • increased confidence and adaptability in complex conversations

This course supports participants to move beyond surface reflection and develop reflective habits that genuinely inform and strengthen practice.

Minimum Requirements

No formal study in reflective practice is required. However, at least 12 months experience as a coach, mentor or leader is recommended to support leading reflective practice with others.
