Robin Stickland

Dr Robin Stickland has worked in education for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience in coaching and mentoring school leaders. As an accredited mentor and coach, she has helped develop the skills of leaders using confidential professional conversations and building positive, respectful and active learning cultures.

Her interest is in helping leaders and staff teams to find solutions that suit their individual school to support culture, build capacity and innovation.

Robin is a passionate educational leader who cares about excellence in educational leadership and collaboration of teams within the school environment. She has been principal of two schools and has worked in both Primary and Secondary settings, significantly lifting student achievement and welfare through positive working relationships and team goals.

Robin brings together her own 28-year principalship experience, educational research and coaching strategies to assist leaders in schools to create, and most importantly, implement agile improvement plans based on strengths and capacities. She has an insightful, compassionate and empathic understanding of the challenges within schools, having led a school through the COVID pandemic.

Her work has been recognised by receiving the prestigious Judith Leeson Australian National Educators Award, Victorian Neita Award, VPA State Study Award and a finalist in the 2018 Victorian Educational Excellence Primary Principal of the Year.

When she is not volunteering with Marine Care Victoria, she can be found playing a range of musical instruments for pleasure.
