Jim is an experienced educational leader and an accredited GCI Coach with a passion for supporting others to reach their potential as leaders.

Jim has had a long career in education within the Victorian Education system as a teacher, educational leader and as a principal. Jim was a member of the principal class for some 20 years, the last 15 as principal in two high performing primary schools. Most recently he was the Principal of Woodlands Primary School in Melbourne’s south east.

Since qualifying as a coach with GCI, coaching and mentoring have been central to Jim’s role as an educational leader. Jim has worked with many first-time principals and aspiring leaders within Bastow programs such as ‘Mentoring for First Time Principals’, ‘Unlocking Potential, the ‘Evolve Program’ and the ‘Inspire Program’. He has also been a Principal representative in the Victorian Aspirant Principal Assessment Program.

Jim has a passion for supporting and developing the leadership potential of others while maintaining a focus on the development of relationships and culture within the school setting.

Jim has a Diploma of Education Primary, a Graduate Diploma in Outdoor Studies and is an Accredited GCI Coach.
